Kenneth Branagh is the writer and director behind this breathtaking story filmed in black and white. Belfast is a direct reflection of some of the circumstances faced by his family, during his childhood years growing up in the titular city. Buddy's family lives in a largely Protestant district with just a few Catholic families, and whilst things at first appear peaceful, his life is soon turned upside down and everything he thought he knew is tossed out of the window.
